One of Azrael's favorite activities is drawing self portraits. Often, the images portrayed are images of themself in contexts that might be seen as disturbing. Though they recognize this, these drawings feel necessary. They portray emotion at it's rawest. Whether that's the slow sting of death, becoming evermore present or the hatred of other's taking the foreground is not entirely clear. There are endless ways in which a drawing can be interpreted. Noone of which are wrong, but it's important to note that the emotion that is seen in these drawings is merely one of many emotions that the artist undoubtedly felt when drawing. No one drawing should be seen as all-encompassing.Â

Note that the intention of these drawings is not accuracy. While accuracy is important, and not to be overlooked, the goal was to portray emotion. Not to create a copy of the person. Done with only pencils, these simple drawings ended up becoming some of Azrael's favorite drawings.
Both these drawings were done in one day, in September of 2025. After they had dedicated the entirety of the summer to learning anatomy of the human body, Azrael had gotten into portraits. Though made from photo's these portraits ended up quite well.

These drawings were done following shortly after each other. In about a week, they came together.Â
Though portraying drastic, extreme emotional acts of violence, these works are not portraying the entire picture. Though there are parts to Azrael that scream and shout, these are very limited, short, but powerful displays om emotion, very specifically targeted not to do any damage.
