Though having very little experience with abstract art, Azrael does love to experiment with it. It's an artform that can express thing incredibly rawly. When Azrael makes abstract art, they often use very cheap materials, tape, and ballpoint pens. With these materials, the work feels much less as though it needs to be perfect. These works are free, and playful. Purely made to be fun. With fun as their priority, Azrael makes works that take inspiration from artists like Jack1080 (he also makes bad rap music). Really emphasizing the importance of absurdity in these works.
Working with these materials, Azrael creates works that are guided by the materials. the randomness of the splotches of paint, combined with the finer lineart. Using text to creatae contrast and fill areas. The works respectively titled: 'home' and 'frend', home is meant to show the isolation of home, and the fact that that everything you know can be based on your home. The colors are cold, in contrast to 'frend'. Frend has warm colors, and is meant to convey the absurd and the childlike nature of human interaction.
